Lucky Lou was (just like Powerful Peter) the reason to travel to his origins for the first time (in 2021). Much of the information read online really became clear and meaningful. The difficult reality of the farmers hit us.

Sarah visited the region again in February 2024, this time with the very concrete idea of ​​further expanding the collaboration with Doña Olga (to be continued).

Our search for the perfect capsule

We heard you loud and clear: the previous capsules were not always... how shall we put it accommodating. So went looking for a better solution. After a long search, we ended up with these capsules - new material, same green promise (home compostable, of course!).

Currently, Lucky Lou is the result of the work of many small farmers from the region around Santa Avelina. A beautiful region, but with a sad history where the government in the 1980s persecuted the indigenous population (Mayas) en masse and destroyed their villages.
