    Plaats de Chemex op een weegschaal en schudt de gemalen koffie tot 20 gram midden in de filter. Daarna giet je wat heet water rustig over de gemalen koffie, totdat die goed nat is. Dit heet ‘bloomen’.

    Je ziet de koffie opzwellen, met luchtbelletjes. Hoe verser de koffie hoe meer belletjes, want de koffie moet nog ‘ontgassen’. Bloomen duurt gemiddeld 20 tot 30 seconden. Daarna zal je nog maar weinig belletjes zien.
