Would you like to enjoy your favorite, sustainable coffee in the evening? Afternoon Eve is Ray & Jules' deca! A soft coffee with hints of chocolate and a spicy, floral touch. Slow and freshly roasted on solar energy.

Fair: fair trade or direct trade

Our ultimate goal: equal and direct relationships with cooperatives and/or farmers . We want to give them ownership in the coffee chain and grow together towards climate-proof plantations.

If this is not (yet) possible, we choose FTO. Through these labels we can be sure that farmers receive support to provide for their livelihood and to invest in their coffee cultivation.

What's special
about this coffee

It is a challenge to find a coffee where the caffeine has not been removed with chemical solvents. We felt it was important to look for more natural methods; the green coffee beans are immersed in water and then placed in a sealed container.

Liquid CO2 is pumped in under high pressure, which connects with the caffeine molecules. The CO2 is then removed by removing the pressure, leaving the caffeine behind in a separate room.

Afternoon Eve is organic

Afternoon Eve is organically grown. Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to develop direct relationships for this coffee.

Producers & cooperative

The Asociación de Productores Agro Ecológicos Machu Picchu was created in 2015 by a group of farmers who were concerned about the critical situation of coffee in the region.

Currently, the association has more than 500 coffee producers who actively participate, improving the quality of life of farmers and the overall development of the region.

Nooit aan de Deca begonnen, totdat onze dochter ons Deca adviseerde. Gelukkig had Ray&Jules ook Deca koffie. Meteen besteld. Wat een heerlijke zachte maar toch zeer smaakvolle koffie.

Koffie zonder cafeïne is niet altijd even smaakvol. Het is goed zoeken geweest en dat was een pad met vele teleurstellingen. Uiteindelijk bij Ray & Jules terechtgekomen en Afternoon Eve ontdekt. Heerlijke koffie. Wat zeg ik? Gewèldige koffie. Het is mijn vaste koffie. Tenzij ik speciaal een koffie met caffeine wil, pak ik altijd deze. Afternoon Eve is the best. ❤️

Voor een echte koffieleut die geen caffeine meer mag, én milieubewust koffie wil drinken, was het ontdekken van Afternoon Eve een geschenk uit de hemel. En weet je wat: ze is bovendien ook nog héél lekker 😋😋 Ik proef geen onderscheid met caffeinevolle koffie!
Enige minpunt: de prijs... Afternoon Eve is toch wel een pak duurder dan de meeste varianten in het pallet...
