For instance, they ensure that agronomic experts visit the farmers several times a year to give advice and best practices. At the HEZA washing station, farmers also get a better price for their coffee, the quality is monitored and they receive extra annual premiums for this. They have also started a reforestation project “Trees for Kibira’. Osito Coffee, our importer for this coffee, has been working with Long Miles Coffee Project for 4 years based on shared values: high quality, working with the same farmers every year and paying good prices for their coffee.
